Instead of just dumping the old machine, some will put them in as part exchange to shops who will check them out before reselling them.

This is a wonderful idea since those people will rarely be able to get hold of this kind of technology. However, this is also good practice ecologically speaking.

What many people do not realize is that plastics will be with us for a very long time. At least by donating these computers, or getting them refreshed and repaired, the amount of waste created is kept to a minimum. This not only saves on the money spent to send them to landfill sites, it also helps from the green aspect of dumping plastic.
